"Spread the Peanut Butter Thin" was my first book, published in 2007. It is about the SEVERE poverty that my family and I lived through from 2001-2004 in Illinois. It is a great read for this current recession.

My second book is, "As in the Days of Noah: The UFO Phenomenon Exposed" and it is about the role UFOs might play in End Time Prophecy.

Hi, I too love to read, mixture of novels from thrillers, to light dramas to fantasy. recently just finished reading a book called Spinex. based around egypt the book is set in todays world, but, also giives lots of history re Eghypt back in the time of the Pharohs etc, I found it interesting because I guite like history.
This morning just come back from Bookchat, so books were definatly on my mind when I popped in here.

I live in NZ, it is winter now so what can a person do...

Everyone has different tastes but on a recomendation from a close friend I went to Amazon and bought a book called Guys Don't Rat on Guys by a man named Grey Baker. Very seldom does a book do to me what this book did. It jarred loose so many emotions in me and made me love to read again. It is a story of abuse, neglect and family dysfunction but is written in way that makes the victim real rather than someone to pity. I very rarely suggest books to others...

I have recently had the opportunities to read The richest man in Babylon, and have the desire to discuss it.

There are not a lot of rules it gives us but the few there are, though easy to understand, can be hard to follow. It takes a lot of self discipline and control, and unfortunately for me, I have not governed myself well in those areas, I suppose its time to start, huh?

If you haven't read _Bel Canto_ by Ann Patchett, you should put it on your "Books To Read" list and try to read it soon. It's a wonderful story, a page-turner. It was on the Best Seller lists for a long time and won the Pen/Faulkner Award.

Hello Booklovers!
I have been trying (obviously unsuccessfully!) to track down the author & title of a book i read a few years ago now, it could even have been the late '90's.
I guess the book would be classed as historical fiction. It was about the building of London Bridge, and about the tradesmen that came to London to help build it eg the stonemasons & engineers etc. The book was also about how the Freemasons started at this time, and there was some stuff about the Knights...
